The trail crosses the high hills of Astarac, the forest of Saint Elix d'Astarac, and winds through the valleys of the rivers Lauze and Gimone.

The description of the trail is for sale at the tourist office Coteaux Arrats Gimone (Gimont and Simorre).

1. Take the path that runs along the stream, then the road to the right. Cut the D12 and continue straight for 250m.

2. Take the dirt road on the right. Follow it for 2km. Turn right onto the road for 150m. At the crossroads, turn left into the path that descends for 700m.

3. Take the dirt road to the right, climb it for 4,300m crossing 2 roads.

VARIANT 1: Circuit of 10 km. Follow the PR1 signpost.

5. Continue opposite on the road for 300m. At the turn, take the dirt road for 3,500m that crosses the D242.

VARIANT 2: Circuit of 16km. Follow the signs

5. At the tarmac road, continue opposite on the dirt road and go up the road. Take it right for 900m.

6. Turn left onto the straight dirt road, cross the D12 and continue straight to the wood. Take the path that crosses it. Pass in front of the work of Land'Art* and join to the left the parking lot of the wood (picnic area), take to the right the road on 350m.

7. Turn left onto the cobbled road and go up to the village of St Elix (picnic area). Cross it to the access road to the church, facing the monument to the dead.

8. Take the right road to the church. Possibility of going up to the church for the view point. Enter before it on the right path that descends and joins a paved road (700m). Turn left onto the dirt road and continue straight on until the D242. Take it right for 100m and take the dirt road on the left that follows the Gimone for 2,700m and arrive at a road.

9. Follow it to the right for 170m and at the turn continue straight south. Arriving at the cobbled road, continue right for 200m. Then turn left into a path that leads back to the stadium and then to Simorre.

Motor vehicles are not allowed. The route is suitable for hikers, equestrians, mountain bikes and electric bicycles.
