Aubiet en hèsta (the festival in Aubiet) takes place on Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July! All weekend long, come and enjoy the various activities on offer.
On the programme:
- Friday 11 July: Opening of the festival with the traditional Foyer Rural meal, entertained by the Méteils brass band. On the menu: aperitif, poulet basquaise, cheese - dessert, red wine, rosé and coffee. Don't forget to bring your cutlery. To register before 8 July, call Aubiet town hall on 05 62 65 90 10 or the Bady bakery on 05 62 65 92 01. Price: €15 for adults and €7 for primary school children.
- Saturday 12 July: Fishing competition open to all, rendez-vous at Lac d'Aubiet (route du Jardinier). Price: €10 for adults and €5 for children under 16. End of competition and weigh-in at 11am, followed by prize-giving by category. Walk at 9.30am, starting and finishing at the football stadium. Olympics at 9.30am, open to all, young and old, at the football stadium, followed at 11am by an aperitif at the stadium for walkers and athletes. Petanque competition at 2pm, open to residents of Aubiet and their friends, meeting point at Kirikou. Price: €10 per trio. Aperitif hosted by the duo EloHelloFranck (vintage pop rock) at 6.30pm. And at 7.30pm, a meal organised by the tennis association. On the menu: tomato and mozzarella farandole, duck breast or duck hearts and chips, cheese, dessert, wine and coffee included. Price: €15 for adults and €7 for primary school children.
- Sunday 13 July: Gascon bowling in the foyer at 9.30am, open to Aubiétains and their friends. Aperitif offered to Aubiétains at 12 noon. New aperitif at 6.30pm. Meal organised by the football association at 7.30pm. Menu: melon, rib steak and chips, dessert, wine and coffee. Price: €15 for adults and €7 for primary school children. The evening continues at 10pm with DJ System D, and at midnight you can enjoy the fireworks.
- Young and old alike can enjoy the funfair with its inflatable structures, duck fishing...
