The concert starts at 7.30pm. La Kahina Encantaira brings together Lakhdar Hanou on the oud and singer-instrumentalists Leïla Zitouni and Louise Grévin, in an innovative trio celebrating the richness of languages and cultures.
Dinner will be served from 8pm. Don't forget to book online. Resumption at 9.15pm.
The spellbinding voice of Kahina Leila Zitouni soars freely, evoking the Andalusian Sufi master Ibn Arabi or the poet Khalil Gibran, in a spiritual dialogue that blends the lyrical and baroque singing of Louise Grévin l'Encantaira, who performs an aria by Bach, “La Passion selon Saint Matthieu”.
A new interpretation of an Ave Maria, mirroring the Annunciation of Myriam by the angels in the pages of the Koran, adds a sublime touch to this experience, weaving a sacred bridge between tradition and mysticism. Rhythmed by percussion, the oud and cello become Kahina Encantaira's accomplices in her quest for ecstasy. Together, they illustrate a dialogue between J.S. Bach, Sufism and the oudist's original compositions, revealing the lyricism of these two melodious voices that merge at the heart of a divine breath.
