Concert evening with La Kahina Encantaria, the orients of JS Bach on Saturday, November 22 from 21:15 at Bouche à Oreille de Simorre
A unique evening awaits you at Bouche à Oreille on November 22nd with a concert where classical music mixes with sounds from the Orient.
Come discover the trio La Kahina Encantaira. Oudiste Lakhdar Hanou brings together the instrumentalists Leïla Zitouni and Louise Grévin to form an innovative trio. Together, they illustrate a dialogue between J.S. Bach, Sufism and original compositions inspired by the spiritualities of the East and the West. Punctuated by percussion, the oud and the cello, the lyricism of two melodious voices weaves a sacred bridge between Bach’s universes and the lands of the Levant. During his travels in the Mediterranean, exploring the sounds of the oud, the emblematic instrument of the Orients, Lakhdar Hanou made a surprising discovery: the love of baroque music in the Orient.
From this experience was born a series of reveries. Interpreting texts and poems by Khalil Gibran, while evoking the Andalusian Sufi master Ibn Arabi, the captivating voice of Leila Zitouni (la Kahina) rises freely. It comes to dialogue with the lyrical and baroque song of Louise Grévin (l'Encantaira): an interpretation of an Ave Maria, mirroring the Annunciation of Myriam by the angels in the pages of the Quran, comes to weave a sacred bridge between traditions and mystics.
It will also be possible to dine on site before the concert from 7:30 PM. It is strongly recommended to book online for the meal.
