On Saturday, March 7, the Bouche à oreille of Simorre offers you an AEDES concert, neo-trad style.
Lutxi Achiary and Thomas Baudoin will make you discover and have a new and unique look at traditional Occitan music.
An intimate acoustic singing duo formed by Lutxi Achiary and Thomas Baudoin, Aèdes is accompanied by an unusual instrumentarium, both light and minimalist: two Indian shruti boxes, two string tambourines from Béarn, whose sounds are close to the singers' timbre. A woman and a man, side by side, hear songs in unison, polyphony songs, from the Gascon oral repertoire.
Public balances and plates to be shared from 7 PM.
You can have dinner at 8 PM.
The BàO finances its programming largely thanks to the profits of its bar-restaurant. So remember to book.
If you choose to come only for the concert, it will start at 21:15 (sharp).
In Béarn, singing is telling: love songs, haunting epics or brutal grief, between fresh litanies and luminous lamentations, we hear in the songs of Aèdes the Pyrenean resonances of the voices of Lutxi Achiary and Thomas Baudoin who play and intertwine on the « camin sobiran », the path of the ridges, on a thread in a subtle poetic balance.
With Gaves, his new creation, Aèdes takes the path of vocal improvisation with prestigious guides, and explores the electronic track: how can the machine be at the service of the material to give a voice to what is sometimes not. Set of focal lengths and harmonics, soundscapes, live improvisation...
