Aubiet would take its name from "albinellum": a place covered with plants with leaves or white flowers (hawthorn or willow).
Last castral city of Armagnac, it has a communal charter dated 1288. It was occupied from the Gallo-Roman period (I to IV centuries). Of this period was discovered in particular the "togatus", headless bust, in marble, located near the Cemetery.

1 Go down the stairs to the right of the church. Cross the main street.
2 Enter opposite, rue de la Fontaine. Join rue du Foussat, go down to the right. At the bottom, turn left and follow the Arrats river by the stony path, then by a dirt road. Along a
weir. Continue south to a tarmac road.
3 Go straight ahead (GR 653) and arrive at the village of Isle Arné. At the stop sign, turn right (CD 40), cross the bridge. At the crossroads of the Paillan chapel, continue to the right on the CD 40 towards Aubiet for 300 m.
Take the alley that leads to a place called LaLanne on the left. Continue straight on the road then on a dirt road bordered by a wood. Arrive at a road, go left (panorama of the Pyrenees) to a crossroads.
4 Fork to the right (the GR 653 continues to the left) and continue for 1 km. Turn left into a field before the first house on the left. Join the horn of the wood on the right. Descend along the edge and immediately take a dirt road that enters the wood and descends by snaking. At the Tulle stream,
pass under the high-voltage line and go to the right.
5 Continue, keeping the stream on the right and the wood on the left. Enter the Bois de Tulle. Continue until a fork. Go up to the left. Join a stone path. Turn right and go down to a tarmac road.
6 Take it on the left still straight ahead and come to a stop (CD 40). Turn left and in the bend, go straight passing in front of the water union buildings. At the D 924 continue right until the village. Go up by the main street.
2 Join the parking lot by the stairs.
