The Museum of Aubiet has a very fine collection of the 1st and 2nd World War, as well as pieces of military aviation and an exhibition on the war of 1870.
The "Aubiet historical research group" invites you to discover the Rota room, the exhibition created to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the war of 1870/71, for which the national label of the memorial year was obtained.
This lost war, which had to be quickly forgotten, nevertheless mobilized thousands of young people and claimed many victims, civilians and soldiers on the battlefields, some of which remained sadly famous (Sedan, Gravelotte, Belfort, etc.) and during the siege from Paris.
About forty aubietains whose names he found took part in these fights and five of them were killed there.
