Artiste peintre depuis 1977
Cédric Lavaud was born May 17, 1949 in Pau but since his childhood he lives in Gimont in the Gers. Before he knew how to walk, he daubed all that was within his reach and his first works were those of adolescence.
In 1967 he entered the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse and after four years of studies went up to Paris as a decorator until 1977 then he returned to Gimont to live his vocation as a painter. In 1980 he took part in the plastic arts fair of Béziers. In 1981 and 1982 he exhibited in Sainte-Maxime. From 1985 to 1988 he exhibited in Bayonne, Auch and Toulouse. His international career began in 1989 at the Galerie des Halles in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He then exhibited in Vevey (1996), Seville (2000), San Francisco and New York (2002) without abandoning France. His works can be seen in various galleries in Toulouse, Castres, Auch, Pau, Cordes sur Ciel and occasionally in Sainte-Maxime and Cannes. He won several first prizes and gold medals in Béziers, Toulouse, Auch and Cannes. Several magazines have published articles on Cédric Lavaud, including Parcours des arts in 2005. Since 2006 it is listed in the guides Akoun and Art-price.
