This communal lake, close to the city center is easily accessible thanks to the many car parks nearby. Located next to a motorhome area, and equipped with a fishing area for people with reduced mobility, this lake is very popular with locals.
Catfish, carp, predators and white fish, the fish are numerous and the fish population of this lake will satisfy the majority of fishermen on condition that they respect the many walkers around the lake.
For more tranquility, it is advisable to go fishing on Lake Gimont 2, located a few tens of meters to the south.

The tour of the lake (0.7 km) is entirely set up for the walk and perfectly accessible for people with reduced mobility and pushchairs.
This second lake strongly resembles the main lake in terms of fish population. It is, however, smaller. This old gravel pit remains less frequented than the main lake but it can sometimes be more difficult to fish due to the strong presence of plants during the summer.
