Farm of Baylac

The farm of Baylac is located in the town of Lartigue, 3.5 km from the capital of canton, Saramon, in the heart of the "golden triangle" of Foie Gras.

This small farm on the hillsides extends over 12 ha. Historically, they mainly served as grassy paths for the 4 flocks of 250 Mulard ducks that were raised there from their first day until the gavage.

From now on, production has diversified. Antonin, the youngest of the family, has just installed a herd of Gascon cows (traditional breed of our region) for the production of "Calves sous la mère" Label Rouge, as well as a herd of Causses du Lot ewes for the production of lambs.

All production (breeding, gavage, cutting, canning or fresh products under vacuum) is developed by us.

During the visit, you will discover on hilly paths, the different farms, then the traditional gavage workshop as well as the new approved cannery.

You will also understand the importance of enhancing these areas classified as a Natura 2000 area through the practice of non-intensive livestock farming, favoring breeds adapted for their hardiness, with food produced on site.

Marketing is done exclusively through direct sales on the farm or during delivery rounds throughout France.

Visit of the operation free and by reservation.
