Not to be missed by history buffs Monuments

Gimont, the town itself founded in 1265, and close by is the Abbey of Boulaur.

In the small hamlet of Saintes you can visit the small, long forgotten church; it was recently unearthed and has been painstakingly restored.

From Simorre, make a detour to the the Maquis de Meilhan.

Be sure to tour the town and village squares and halls, viewing the traditional wood frame houses with their 'Mirandes' (lattice covered open spaces for drying flax) and explore the narrow medieval narrow passage ways, where the past comes to life.
